Many people have asked me how I started making the rosaries. As a child, I was always fascinated by the many rosaries that were given to me as gifts by my relatives. I have collected them ever since. Whenever I was older and began researching and studying about the rosary, I only then came to know the true meaning of what the rosary represents.
I have four daughters, three of them were receiving their First Holy Communion last year. I wanted a special gift for them for this occasion. I purchased some beautiful rosaries for them as a gift and decided that I could make even prettier ones. I loved the fact that they were strung as in early church times and were so much stronger than traditional chain rosaries. I had experience making jewelry items so it knew I could do it but just never had the time.
Then in 2006, my dear mother was diagnosed with cancer. She passed on in 2007 which was the most tragic situation in my life. While I was at her bedside praying, and praying, to pass the time I began beading. The beading just naturally turned into the rosaries. My last gift to her was a rosary that she took with her to eternity. I then began making them for friends and family as gifts and they loved them.
